Okay, So Actually Cabaret and Chicago Are Not Playing The Kravis This Season. But Hadestown and On Your Feet Are Both Tapping Their Way Here!
Just over the bridge in West Palm, the Kravis has a staggeringly varied calendar of events on offer for 2022-23. Just a sampling includes Jerry Seinfeld, the Palm Beach Opera’s Madame Butterfly, Romeo and Juliet staged by the award-winning Miami City Ballet, Michael Feinstein, Chris Botti… all that plus the Kravis’ usual bonanza of artist workshops, first time playwrights, rising prodigies, kids’ shows and puppeteers.
The third leg of Palm Beach’s cultural triple crown, the Kravis provides a perfect complement to the offerings at the Society of the Four Arts and the Norton Museum. Given its large concert hall and variety of smaller stages, the Kravis has an appropriate venue for almost any artist or production.
After a just completed renovation and expansion, the gleaming facade of the Kravis may look brand-spanking new but the center actually first opened its doors in September of 1992, its creation funded solely by generous local philanthropists.
Contrary to popular assumption, it was not named for part-time Palm Beacher Henry Kravis, but rather for his dad, Raymond. The story goes that a bunch of Ray’s friends pooled their donations to honor their golf buddy (we certainly hope they got Henry to chip in). In a taste of things to come, that first night lineup thirty years ago featured Isaac Stern, Lily Tomlin, Ella Fitzgerald and Alvin Aily’s dance troupe – all emceed by local boy Burt Reynolds. And the fun’s never stopped.

Market Color: More Choices

As we’ve previously reported, this summer’s activity felt a little more normal with relatively few properties changing hands. Now as we transition to fall, the combination of homes listed in July and August along with new September listings has resulted in a bump in available inventory.
As evidenced in the graph above, we now have a more normal 12 months of supply of houses and condos. We think that presages a more balanced market this winter, with neither buyers nor sellers having the upper hand. We’d note that we are still seeing plenty of interested buyers. Showings are picking up, restaurants are filling and properties are going pending. The season is coming.

With over 4,500 sqft of living area, an elevator, 4 bedrooms, multiple office spaces and a two car garage there’s plenty of room for family and guests. Given its modern kitchen and baths, outdoor gas grill and beautiful private pool, it’s completely ready for move-in for the 2022-23 season. 12′ ceilings on the 1st floor, 10’+ in the Master bedroom.
